Granny's Hands

My Granny's hands...hands that cooked, cleaned, sewed, created, worked, and loved! I remember her hands in my mind's eye, so clearly : ) In his hands, Lisa

The Bond

Holding Mother's hand, a few days before she passed. Our Bond : ) In his hands, Lisa

The Left Hand

My mother had beautiful hands, and she was left-handed. Most people who are left-handed aren't known for their penmanship, but my mother's handwriting was quite lovely. She was often asked to sign or make out certificates, because her use of cursive was so beautiful and unique. I have many letters, recipes, and cards from her that I cherish. When I think of her left hand, I think of all she did for me. The nights that she held me and comforted me, while sick. The meals she made, the times she brushed my hair, or created crazy hair-do's. The clothes she made for me, the work she did for many years. And I remember holding her beautiful left-hand as she suffered before her death. I took a special picture, so I could recall holding her hand, and remember our incredibly close bond with each other. After taking that picture, I started noticing her left hand, in so many of her pictures, and I began to cherish that hand, that touch, I'll never forget! In his hands, Lisa

Hands-God's Perfect Creation

But now, O Lord, You are our Father, We are the clay, and You our potter; And all of us are the work of Your hand. Isaiah 64:8 I've always been fascinated by hands. I find it interesting, how easy it is to recall someones hands in your mind. Surely, God had a reason for this unique ability. Even to this day, I can recall my grandparents hands, or the hands of best friends from high school. Hands are the first things that we touch, when we enter this world. Someone, literally caught us, in their hands. They stroke lovers, hold babies, comfort children, plant crops, cook meals, make clothes, bind wounds, and save lives. Hands are intrinsically complex in their design and science has been unable to replicate their fine motor detail. They can do so much good, and yet great harm. For those who've been hurt by the hands of someone, I feel true compassion and sorrow. Our hands have been created to be the hands of our Savior, Jesus Christ. We are to do his work on Earth, with our hands. May our hands always bring comfort and healing to those we love and meet. In his hands, Lisa
